Patient Navigation

At MD Anderson, our Patient Navigation program provides a tailored experience that helps patients and their loved ones to feel supported from diagnosis through survivorship. We are here for our patients every step of the way.

Transforming the Patient Experience

Facing a cancer diagnosis brings shock, fear, anxiety and uncertainty. Patients often struggle most during the time between making initial contact and attending their first oncology appointment. MD Anderson bridges these gaps through our Patient Navigation program, ensuring that every patient feels cared for and guided from the start.

Why MD Anderson's Patient Navigation Program Matters

  • Connect with patients before their first visit: Prepare patients and caregivers to reduce stress and to set expectations.

  • Reduce stressors for families: Support caregivers throughout the health care journey.

  • Provide tailored clinical education: Deliver knowledge specific to each patient’s diagnosis.

  • Partner throughout treatment: Stand by patients in every setting, from clinics to hospitals.

  • Enhance timeliness and quality of care: Streamline care delivery and improving patient outcomes.

A Customized Experience for All Patients and Families
